| Yo! Sorry about the delay. Let me preface anything by saying this. Most all of our activity/promotions are going to be on myspace now. www.myspace.com/theawkwardromance. Sorry, but they made it too easy for us. If you want to email us, you can still do that at band@theawkwardromance.com - and we will write you back, but for the most part, we don't have time to do anything but myspace. Anyway, we're super excited. We recently received a few more endorsements from amazing companies. Saluda cymbals, Orange Amplifiers, and DiPinto Basses and Guitars are all backing us now, and we couldn't be happier. We're working on some new stuff, we have a few new songs, and we're going to be recording three songs in December with producer Matt Goldman (Copeland, Cartel, Underoath, etc) at Glow in the Dark Studios. We're currently hard at work writing songs for that, and playing shows, as always. For all of our shows, once again, check our myspace page. For now, the plan is to give the three songs away instead of selling them, so that's good news for you guys. (that could change, of course). We went on our tour in Sep/Oct, and it was awesome. There were so many people who were incredible to us, and we'd like to thank all of you who let us sleep at your house, fed us, put us on a show, and just talked to us or watched our set. We had a blast.. and we can't wait to do it again. I guess that's about it for now, just be on the lookout for the new songs come January. Thank you guys for listening to our music and for being our friends. We can't tell you how much you all mean in our lives. Love, Eli | | |

| Hey guys,
I know that I personally get tons of requests for this song. We don't play it now, and we don't have plans to ever play it again, actually. This isn't without reasoning, however, so I want to explain.
1. The song is a joke. Literally. We wrote it as a continuation/embellishement of something our good friend Caleb Lange said a long time ago. Since then, our music has taken a turn towards more meaningful topics and subjects that we feel passionate about. Not that it wasn't fun or that we never enjoyed it, but the time for this song has come and passed for us.
2. We were never able to perform it well. It was quite a gimmick to have Stu and Seth switch out on the guitar/drums, but it really isn't in the best interest of a solid live performance. The song structure is sloppy by nature, and again, has no meaning for us.
3. We retired it at the to breathe is to compromise cd release party. (rather painfully, I might add)
I'm sorry to all of you guys who really want to see us play this live. I just wanted to give you some explanation. Also, if any of you guys want this song, we don't have it up on purevolume nor myspace, but I would still be glad to give you this song or re:time - just email me.. elijscott@bellsouth.net
Love,

| HI! So, it's been a while. I hope you're all doing well. We have great news all around.
Stu got an endorsement from an amazing company called C and C Drums. If you've talked to Stu at all, I'm sure you've heard about this. His drumset does sound amazing, though.
We have uploaded another song from AudioBio on our purevolume site, if you'd like to hear it. It's called "revel without a cause"
We have been playing shows non-stop, and it's been a lot of fun. We were on tour for most of July, and there is nothing that we love more. We're in the process of writing some new songs, that we're hoping to be recording with Matt Goldman later on this year. We've actually just finished writing the first one, called, "Singing to the Choir"- we're probably going to play it live pretty soon.. so be on the lookout for that.
Speaking of live, we have a lot of shows coming up, including one in Griffin this Saturday with Fireflight. It'd be awesome to see you there.
Also, since we're going on tour in October, we're doing a tour fundraiser to help us be able to tour. The date is (Wednesday) September 27th at the Church at Covington. There won't be any opening bands, and we will be playing songs from Covington forward. Basically, this is a kill two birds with one stone show.. we get to raise money for tour, and we also get to play all the old songs a lot of you guys keep asking for. We're not playing Clang with an E. We have our reasons, though. If you want to know why, just go read the journal, I'm going to make a post about it in there.
We've gotten some new t-shirts and killed off some old ones. Our merch page is woefully outdated.
We are out of Covington CD's. We're not re-ordering them. The only way to get them is through ITunes. (where you can also get To breathe and Audiobio). There's more news, but I can't think of it right now. If you don't have audiobio, do us a favor and buy it, burn it from a friend, or download it. We hear it's on the p2p networks.. We'd rather you have the music than not, so go for it. | | |
